The Dragon Skin Pavilion is a wonderful exploration of hi-tech bent wood and a collaboration between the Laboratory for Explorative Architecture and Design (LEAD), a Hong Kong- and Antwerp-based firm, and Finland’s Tampere University of Technology.
So simple and warm – 163 squares of plywood. Apparently that’s all you need to create something this stunning…well ok, tools, innovation, creativity and teamwork had a large hand in getting this completed.
I would love to see this on a larger scale or maybe multiple of these in a space, doubling up on the idea of repetition in design. Maybe both?
